Photos, access, condition, materials, measurements, permits, and other job facts can change the contractor-confirmed scope and price.
Project payments use milestone payment holds, not escrow. A release can follow the homeowner's approval of completed work or the current 72-hour auto-approval process when the homeowner takes no action and the applicable notice, review, pause, dispute, inspection, payment, and account-readiness conditions allow release.
Requirements depend on the trade, job, role, and current marketplace rules. Texas licenses plumbing, electrical, and HVAC work at the state level, while painting and general handyman work are not blanket state-licensed trades.
